One of the hardest jobs a copyeditor can do is to get a book-length text right when there are special or exceptional rules.  There are plenty of  (but never enough) good copyeditors who are able to mostly-correctly apply a few of the standard style guides, like Words Into Type or the Chicago Manual, but very few who can thoroughly learn a really different style sheet and apply it perfectly.  Luann is one of the very few people I’ve seen do that, and she got it right the first time, and in a manuscript where she had to cope both with some unusual scientific/technical stylesheet issues, and the demanding and complicated Federal/National Security style. Furthermore, she was the only copyeditor that series ever had who meticulously checked chronology on the datelines that are a key feature of the narrative style, and caught me in more errors than I like to admit. She made me look a lot smarter than I actually am!  I would trust her — actually, I intend to request her — for any specialty copyediting job that requires the ability to learn a lot of new material quickly and apply it meticulously and accurately.
